MYSQL and ASP

Do MYSQL and ASP mix, as most info seems to point to PHP and MYSQL and info on my question is very limited. I'm a complete newbie with MYSQL (can't even install it????) but a years ASP experience and currently use Access, just to give an indication of where i'm coming from.

ASP is a programming environment that connects to databases like Jet and MS SQL Server. MySQL is just another database you could connect it to. If you want to transfer your ASP skills but into an open-source environment then you could try Sun's ASP clone which I think is called Sun One.
