I have a version of MySQL 4.12 which I manage via the old MySQL Control Centre.
I've just installed the latest MySQL onto a different server and I've duely installed the MySQL Administrator 1.0.20 to manage it.
In the new setup I can see the databases and the tables and the Columns.
HOWEVER, in Tables view if I right click on a table name I get the short menu BUT the EDIT DATA option is greyed out.
There does not seem to be any way of editing the data in the table using Administrator whereas I can easily edit data using ControlCentre.
( The Permissions are identical because I transfered the MySQL database from the old instalation to the new )
Any Idea what I'm doing wrong ?
Also - I can't find any way of running an explicit SQL command in this new version whereas in CC it was click on the SQL tool on the toolbar.
I can't believe the 'recommended' Admisinrator is so lacking in basic functionality compared to the depricated CC - so what am I overlooking.
