Hello,
I'm having a problem connecting to a remote MySQL database using MyODBC on a network which uses a Microsoft ISA Server as its gateway and restricts both incoming and outgoing traffic to authorized users on the network. The ISA Server has been configured with a rule to allow both incoming and outgoing traffic on port 3306.
After installing the MyODBC drivers on a Windows 2000 workstation, I try to create a linked table in MS Access using a MySQL Data Source Name for the remote server. However, Access returns a MyODBC error message "Can't connect to remote database xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx."
Has anyone experienced this problem before? Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance!
Brian
