DO NOT REINSTALL JUST YET!

Many, many things you can try. If you search the FAQ section of Win95/98, you'll find many hints as to what you can try to speed things up (most work the same in ME).

Usually, I try the following routine when a system starts to run slower:

- Perform a search for *.tmp and *.chk and delete all the results
- In Internet Explorer, go to Tools->Internet Options and click the delete files option. Be sure to place a checkmark next to "delete all ofline content" before hitting OK
- Go to Start->Programs->Startup and clear out items that you don't want to start with Windows by right-clicking the item and choosing delete
- Empty your recycle bin
- Reboot into Safe Mode (hit F8 during startup)
- Defrag the C: drive (Start->Programs->Accessories->Disk Defragmenter)
- Reboot

Now, these are just the basics. If this doesn't really help, there are more advanced tweaking methods available. Post back if necessary...
