I have just set up my website and if viewed in Firefox, none of the photos appear and none of the hover stuff works for my menu, in fact it is genrally just rubbish.

How can I remedy this?

Emily

The images are most likely not appearing because you are using "\" instead of "/" for the filename. I came across the in NN4 years ago.

The hover effect is probably not working due to the illegal comments inside your style tag (AFAIK, only /* */ comments are allowed in style sheets), and the lack of type attribute on it.

Hope this helps,
Dan

Thanks Dan,
I'll give it a go.

Sorry Dan,

What do you mean by 'the lack of type attribute to it'
presumable I have to add atype attribute to my style tag - what options do I have?

Thanks again

Emily

Hmm. Given that you already have one style tag correct, I would have thought it would have been fairly obvious... But to clarify, you should replace this:

Code:
<style>

with this:

Code:
<style type="text/css">

You also do not want the comments around the first style sheet - I was just telling you the ones you do have are illegal. If you comment out your styles, they will not work at all (funnily enough).

Hope this helps,
Dan

Apologies, by the way, if that last post sounded a bit rude - it was not intended to be. I was just trying to illustrate that sometimes the answer is right in front of you (and just needs a bit of sitting down and thinking about).

Hi Dan,
Thanks for your postings.
I'm sure I would have worked it out - eventally.
I'm just doing about three things at once at the moment.

Thanks for replying so quickly too!

Emily.
