Hei,

I'm stuck!
I try to sum in a form, it returns error.
Example: txt1 = 1000, 500, 2500, etc. This value is stored in the query/table.
It was fine before, the sum "=sum([txt1])" returns value of total txt1.
After I add a table in the query, suddenly in the form the sum box returns #error#, but the txt1 value all still there.

Help please....

Tintin:

A little clarification:

Txt1 is an unbound text box on the form?

What is the source of the values that are being summed?

The query is the record souce for the form?

What fields are you adding to the query when you add a table?

Hi Larry,

the txt1 is bound to query because the record source of the form is the query.

I'm trying to sum up the total amount of all the records value of txt1.

I add another table to the query, and take a field from that table which has no connection to txt1.

It's kind of strange working with sum function.
Previuosly something like this happened. I just remove the textbox, and create a new one with everything the same, and it worked.

I have no idea what is going on.

Tintin:

I'm still unclear on txt1. Do you do the sum in the query or on the form?

If on the form, is it in a footer?
