Hi,

I`ve recently started using the my.settings number and string variables in order to store specific information so that they can be retreived by the application everytime it is started. The problem is that there are 2 seperate applications installed on the same computer which where both created in VB, they each have there own "my.settings" variables set, but neither of them remember the settings in those variables if both applications are installed on the same system. This means that either program works fine only when it's the only one installed on that machine, I don't understand why this is the case, I thought that both applications were two seperate identities and that they couldn't conflict with each other's settings, how is it that this is happening?
I greatly appreciate any help you can offer
Thanks.

First, they have two totally different names correct?
Second, how are you "installing" them?

And just to throw out there every time you change the My.Settings.Variable = something (whatever your variable is) you make sure to do My.Settings.Save as some point right?

-I hate Microsoft!
-Forever and always forward.
-My kingdom for a edit button!

On the Application's Properties Page under the Application Tab you should be sure and check "Save My.Settings on Shutdows
