I have a solwise SAR110 router, i have had it for a few months and has been working great untill it started crashing me. This only happens now and again, the router will just sit there with all the lights liminated and cannot get any net access or ping the device.

My system:

Server = Win2k server
clients = 3 running XP
8 port switch
1 wireless access point for my laptop

I dont know if this is a hardware problem with the router or if i am getting hacked or not, this has never happend before. i have IP filters set behind NAT and have not had any trouble in the past with these been setup. To get the router working again i have to power the router off then on again..

Please Help.

I would try a new firmware, or reload the the current. Or try a diferent router and see if the problem persits. I had a bad linksys net card that was crashing my linksys router. It drove me nuts for a month

I get this problem occasionally from my isp. I've found if I can't access the internet with my network, I power down the cable modem and my wireless router, power them back on and things work again. (This was from overly paid tech support from my isp.) Place I used to work at we had 250+ users with 3 w2k servers, and had to do basically the same thing. Just power the hardware off when this happens and power it back. It wouldn't hurt to take keithschm's advice either. Just a fact of life I think.
