My Recent Documents Vanished?

before lunch i went to my "My Recent Documents" and all of them are there, i came back and they are all gone? I went to C:\windows\doc&sett\user\ and saw the "My Recent Documents" icon and double clicked it and sure enough they were all there, but still not showing off of my start > my rec. doc's??????

If you create or access any other text file or image file at this point in time, does that now show up in the Recent Documents of the Start Menu?

Try running ChkDsk to check your drive for errors. Right click your Drive icon/ Properties/ Tools/ Error Checking.
