check BKGD for ld 30
if it is there when the switch is idle it will disable any phones that are unplugged.
you can change it in ld 17

Do a search for Nortel Meridian as that forum will help you much better.....as Techman said this is the Nortel Nortar forum, we do have some of us that know the PBX also but the Meridian forum has many more PBX techs/admins therefore your chances are better.

NEED TO CHECK LD 22 AND LOOK FOR DROL THOSE ARE THE ROUTINES, BUT IF YOUR RUNNING ANYTHING BESIDES A OPTION 11 I WOULDN'T REMOVE IT BECAUSE LD 30 DOES OTHER ROUNTINES BESIDES DISABLING PHONES THAT ARE UNPLUGGED
