With no clue, I am trying to operate Miva 4.13. I don't have the software, it's provided by my hosting service.

I added a header to my homepage. It's screwing up my shopping cart. When you try to access the shopping cart by clicking on my button "Checkout," you get the message saying the cart is empty (even if you've already logged in). Feel free to try it at

Could be several things (and, I'll add, folks have often had difficulty adding products to baskets with static HTML, but that's not what you are doing - you're just sending them to the product page, where they can add it to the basket there; I do the same thing).

Your URL looks a bit suspicious; it uses the IP address rather than domain name, and doesn't have the usual structure as well (usually there is a domain/Merchant2/ hierarchy).

For checking out, you're redirecting to yet another URL. Checking the Basket Contents link shows that the skull is in the basket, but when checking out using the secure URL thinks it's empty.

I suspect it's something related to the secure URL. Check your domain settings (Domain Settings, Site Configuration) in Admin.

There are a number of reputable Miva Merchant hosts out there that host for under $60/month who know what they're doing with Miva Merchant; many do not. --------------
