My Network Places Question

On my XP Pro computer when I click on My network Places instead of loading the network it does a search everytime, even when I've gone into a folder and hit the back button. This takes 2 or 3 minutes a time. Anyone now how to stop this?

is your indexing service disabled?

Try this and report back.

In folder options, untick 'automatically search for network folders and printers'

Disable offline files, or at least untick 'synchronize all offline files when logging on'
