My Network Places icon

Hi...My "My Network Places" icon has disappeared from my desktop and explorer. I am not able to access my network. Please help.

just type in the unc path to a network computer you know there is and click the UP button. Press the button until you are at the desired start location and drag a shortcut to your desktop. I know its just a workaround but it should work.

Check your registry :

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\POlicies\Explorer

Make sure the value of NoNetHood is 0 Peter Van Eeckhoutte
