My MSIE Favorite icons used to be custom, now they're all the E 1

Some of my msie favourite icons used to be custom, now when I open up the Favorites window they all have the same Microsft "E" icon. Any one know why and how to remedy this??

Microsoft doesn't "save" these favicons on disk so they are lost when you clear the cache. Here is a free utility that will write them to disk so they are saved:

I have a question though. If a web site has the icon in the page, shouldn't the icon be displayed when you save the page into your favorite web pages?
I have a web site that displays the icon in my favorites, this icon doesn't show up on my home pc but does at my office????????

I don't know what the diffence is. Maybe someone else can comment. Maybe you haven't cleared your cache at work, yet? "A little knowledge is a dangerous thing....."
