... And my mouse is just a little guy, who keeps getting the @#?!* kicked out of him. On a system I have had for awhile, the system is assigning IRQ-12 to the display adapter (S3 Trio64V + PCI (765)), and will not recognize the mouse. It is a 133Mhz with Windows 98(SE)and a standard mouse. How do I configure the system to read the mouse, or move the display adapter?

Try entering your BIOS and see if you can toggle a setting called "assign IRQ for video" or "assign VGA IRQ", toggle it to disabled.
