Hello everyone,

I have a Laptop (Suse Linux 9.0) with a Zyxel wireless pcmcia card. It works without any problems in my home network.

In my university, they have a wireless network where I have a login. They also gave out a manual for Windows XP users how to login. But it looks like my Linux laptop can't do it.
The manual from the university says: ESSID is educawll, Connect with EAP-PEAP, use the "Thatwte Server CA"- Certificate and use MSCHAPv2 with username nad password authentication

I have googled and tried all this with no success:
1) I have downloaded XSupplicant (Openx1 / and compiled/installed it. Looks like a tool that helps authenticating on a wlan network, just what I need?
2) I found this manual: which describes how to config xsupplicant. I tried it and I've entered my details (username, pass, essid)
3) I found this (Thawte Server CA) certificate. I copied from -----BEGIN CERTIFICATE----- to -----END CERTIFICATE----- into a .pem file and saved it on disk. In /etc/xsupplicant.conf, I gave the path to this certificate.
Now in the /var/log/xsupplicant.conf, it just says "Authenticating", while the wireless LED blinks (status = working) when I execute xsupplicant. But I'm never authenticated how it looks like. And I never get an IP address, even if I execute "dhcpcd".

Whats the right linux way for a wireless connection, which should be done like a windows xp eap-peap wireless connection?
Thanks alot for your help!
