My links don't work

I am a newbie, again!
I simply stopped using Flash for almost a year and now I can't remember how to make a clickable object that will take you to another place.
Please have a look at this file

and see how non of the buttons are taking you to the assigned labels.
What am I missing? Or what do I have extra?
Please help!

Your buttons seem somewhat corrupted!
Drag new instances from the Library, and add _root to your scripts:

on (release) {
_root.gotoAndStop("lower"
}
