i have a laptop without a db9 serial port...i want to be able to use my laptop to connect to magix using winspm directly...i bought a usb to db9 serial converter but when i tried the winspm i could not find the usb port on the winspm...any help? i know the ipo experts are very good with pc's...

Have you loaded the driver that came with the serial to usb?

yes i loaded the cd that came with the usb converter...
did u ever tried one? what is the name of the product?

Yes I tried one before and had no problem. In your device manager list you should see it under your communication ports the one i purchased wae a non branded name RS232 to USB adapter from an online store called Direct USB Store.

Go into device manager and see what port the USB is, it will probably be 5 or 6. Make sure that is what you are set up to use.
