Dear All,

Now I'm using my laptop and I'm getting the message your virtual memory too low over time. And definitely I cannot even open a word document as my virtual memory all drained out.

What I've noticed is the pagefile.sys keep growing for approximately 1.6 MB every second. I set my page file size limit at 4GB and it takes about 1 hour from every start-up for the malicious process to drain out all of my virtual memory. That's how I keep getting this kind of error.

I've tried to look into many suspecious processes, but only got no idea for now.

Any idea that help me get rid of this kind of problem would be appreciated.

Thanks in Advance,

You can use the standard Windows Task Manager but I prefer Process Monitor and Process Explorer from Systernals. Somewhere on their site they have (or had) some videos and examples of how they used these and some of their other tools to track down some spyware from Sony. Infamous case, that.

Hi 2ffat,

I could manage to remove it anyway. Thanks for your recommendation. Actually, I accidentlally removed suspecious start-up items using Autorun from Systernals without knowing what process accually caused the problem.

But what I want to share is the tools like Process Explorer and Autorun from Systernals very useful. So, it helps me to remove many viruses or malware from my PC every time.

Thank You,
