I posted a message about that my keyboard and printer mostly didn't respond using my windows 98.
SO today I decided to run Registry Checker (in Accesories/System Tools) and I had a message that: "the setupx.dll is corrupted."
-So I decided copy this file in good condition from my win 98 cd.

without restart the computer I run the Configuration Utility from Accesories/System Tools, and I see that th efile "essolo.com" was causing some conflits in DOS.
-So I decided unchecked it no toload this file from autoexec.bat

Also I noticed a line in Autoexec.bat which said:
"Pipost.bat if it is run from c:/pipost.bat
I'd heard about this file,
- So I decided to unchecked also.

After that I restarted the computer and, eureka! everything was ok!

I write this in case it could help someone with the same problem.
But I still doesn't know what is that setupx.dll, pipost.bat, and essolo.com
Do u have any idea about that?
Please, your explanation will be helpful

Thanks
Eric :)

OK. 3 things:
1) setupx.dll .... you can totally ignore that. It doesn't matter, and it's a windows glitch message. It just doesn't matter.
(setupx.dll or setup.exe related, is the Windows install setup, either OEM.... or standard. The size of the Windows registry differs from the actual file used to install windows)

2) ESS is your sound card.
You don't need DOS drivers loading.

3) PIPOST ? Problem is, the only info I can find on it is connected mostly to C+++ and programing.
Anyway, it's loading up, or was, in DOS, and the program may have been corrupted, or uninstalled,,,,, etc.
You eliminated it from starting, and ended the problem.
