All-
I have 1 IIS server which has grown out of control, there are different web services and applications on this IIS server that need individual maintenance done on each individual web app based on individual needs.
Different service accounts are used depending on app but this is getting unmanageable..
All the content is bakended to sql 2005 clustered and am thinking about moving some of the production apps off to fresh new IIS servers but I worry about the
SQL side of things.. Is there a good reference or white paper that recommends how to migrate certain db's from my current scenario onto either a different sql server, or can I leave things as they are on the sql side of things.. Also, are there microsoft namespace "gotchas" to consider if this moved web content were to end up residing in a different domain all together?
Thanks for any information at all on this headache I am about to confront..
