Every now and then (but especially when my computer's been on for a while) an error message pops up saying that IE has performed an illegal operation and must be shut down, followed by ANOTHER error message that says explorer has performed an illegal operation and must be shut down. By this time, there's nothing I can do except restart my computer.

I'm getting really frustrated and have no idea what's going on, so any insight would be helpful!

Thanks,
JC

Which OS are you using? How many IE windows do you usually have open when the message occurs?

I use W2k and have a similar problem, but without the repeat. It first apologizes oh-so-nicely, then closes all my IE windows (usually several). Maybe together, and with the help of the more technically minded in this forum we can get to the bottom of this. It's very frustrating!
