what´s wrong or what is the problem....

thank´s for any help.....

you tried a new floppy and it worked, well as long as you had the cable in correctly on the previous on i would say that the non working one is faulty and should be smashed with a hammer, they are so cheap i wouldnt use too much time or energy on it

Try booting to MS-DOS mode and test the floppy there. If it works fine, then it is definately a Windows driver problem. The floppy driver is called HSFLOP.PDR and should be found in C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM\IOSUBSYS. If you extract a new copy of the file into that folder, chances are the problem will be solved.

If it does not work in DOS mode, then I would suspect a cable or floppy controller problem.

rwise2112 is 100% correct. Try it from DOS. When booting (before the 'starting windows 95' screen comes up), start tapping the f8 key. At the menu, select Command prompt only.

Put a known good floppy disk in the drive, type
A:
dir
If it reads, then it is (as mentioned before) a windows driver problem. If not, then look at windows, drivers, etc.

On the off chance that this all started after you installed a secondary Parallel port (and it has a Netmos chip on it), try taking it out. There were some issues with some of the PCI Netmos par. ports that would cause the problem you are describing (but only in windows). If this happens to be your issue, then download new drivers for that PCI Par port card!

can you help me with this program

Ok,

If you have a Windows 95 operating system cd, you can use the following command to replace the file. You will need to boot to MS-DOS from an emergency boot disk with CD-ROM support.

At the DOS prompt type:
extract /A /E x:\win95\win95_02.cab hsflop.pdr /L c:\windows\system\iosubsys
where x must be substituted with the drive letter of your CD-ROM drive.

If you do not have the CD, its possible the CAB files are on the hard drive, so try the following:
extract /A /E c:\windows\options\cabs\win95_02.cab hsflop.pdr /L c:\windows\system\iosubsys
