My First SMS Push - Please Advise

I have my first SMS push of Lotus Notes Client. We have 17 offices around the US and many laptop users. THe program has already been distributed to all 17 sites successfully. I am getting ready to put together 2 advertisements, the first being the main and the 2nd being a "Manual" push install.

My question is: What is the best way to set up the "Main" advertisement to cover all desktop and laptop users? We want to have this be mandatory. I plan to advertise this evening at 10PM. My concern is the laptop users.

From all of your experince out there, what is the best way to approach the deployment of this update keeping in mind that the users have to stay out of Lotus Notes while update is taking place.

If you run the update manually on a machine, are you prompted to close Lotus Notes? If not, you have to put some kind of notification around the install to check to see if it is running and notify the user. Then either close it for them or ask the user to close it. There is no way SMS can do this for you.
