My boss is having an issue where MS Word just plain hangs when he clicks on the 'Open' button on the toolbar.
Open goes directly to the 'My Documents' folder which has been redirected to a mapped network drive.
Furthermore, after a long delay, I'm able to browse through the folders without a problem, other drives included. When I return to the root of his 'i' drive (where 'My Documents' has been redirected) it hangs again.
I've looked on our switch to see if his NIC was experiencing any problems and everything appears to be OK at the hardware level. He's running Windows XP with Office 2003. Anyone seen this before?
