Do you have anti-virus software installed on your PC and are your DAT files up to date? Both Norton and McAfee have DOS level scanning/cleaning utilities that you can run from the DOS prompt before you boot into Windows to clean the virus.
If you run McAfee, for instance, be sure you specify a scan of all files (rather than only exe's) or you will potentially miss non-executables or indirect content as a virus transmission source.
That just happened to me yesterday. I found one .CGI file extension that was infected by the JS/SEEKER.gen virus. This shows how important it is to be thorough in scanning all files instead of just high probability default file types.
