my deskjet 2000c printer does not recognize my cyan ink cardrige

Hey Guys
Every time I try to print something from my 2000c deskjet printer a get a report saying that I have no cyan ink, and this is after I replaced the ink 2 times.

The only way it works is if I take the cyan ink cart out and put it back in then it will prink my document I believe it may be some type of sensor is there any way I could fix this. Thanks

Perhaps the "Bongo Pad" is broken. This has happened on both my 2000Cs. See this for a pic:

You hit the nail on the head thanks that's exactly what I am looking for but I have a question does the tools I need to fix the printer come with it or do I have to buy it seperatley
