My Computer is failing badly.

download something go to open it and up comes Cannot create a directory Dont have find on my start column
wont open software Wont let me in word processing to save as.
I am working on a Compaq Presario 7800. I have installed Windows ME. And ever since everything seems to be getting worse.
I have a CD Burner how to I burn the whole Harddrive to the CD. so that I dont loose anything.
Its very frustrating. Can U Please help.

Time to uninstall ME (if you can). If not, reinstall ME over top of itself, and hope for the best.
To burn your whole HD to CD, you need the right program. Nero 5 burning software will do it, but you could need 10 or more CD's to backup your whole hard drive, depending on size. Cheers,
