When trying to browse a PC on the network from My Computer or Windows I enter;
//192.168.10.10/c/
And would then expect to see a PC - instead I am being asked to enter my username and password for the local firewall - Internet Explorer is then started and the usual error concerning "Cannot find server" is displayed.
Any ideas any one - I am using Windows XP with IE6

What is your 'local firewall'? A linksys router perhaps? It seems to be answering all your internal requests (which is a new setting in some of the recent firmware).

Thanks for your kind help - I have just found what was causing the issue - I was using "/" instead of "\"!!!!!!

Thanks
