My comp will not come on .. safe mode screen then goes black

When i turn on my comp it goes to the screen "safe mode, normal mode etc... i select normal or any other and it starts to log into windows xp then goes back to the beginning??

i did disconnect the monitor whilst still on and then plug in a different one... so i held in the power switch till it powered down. then started again... it wont get past that screen... any ideas?

I have no idea, why this would be a modem issue. If it were mine, I would be loading my Win XP CD and doing a repair installation. If the vendor did not provide one, you can usually have them send one now. Folks who use Windows in one of the Windows forums may have better advice.

I tried to remain child-like, all I acheived was childish.
