For those who use (or refer others to) the (medium-out-of-date) COBOL FAQ that I maintain, it has moved.

It is now available at:

Although I still haven't gotten around to updating it to "current" information, I have verified (and updated) all the links within it - so that interested people SHOULD be able to find current information about various products, projects, etc from it.

I use Microsoft products that are notorious for creating web pages that only Internet Explorer can handle (and I intend to keep using these products). If you use another browswer and have problems with any of the FAQ, please feel free to let me know - and I will see what I can do to correct it/them.

You can reply here, or send me email at:

Nice FAQ, but I miss references to:
Its a COBOL to C translation, using the BerkelyDB engine for indexed file I/O. Works very nice on linux.

Worth mentioning!

Can you send me an email with the URL (and a summary of what it is)? I have LOTS of updates that I still need to do and I would like to add this to my "to do" folder.

COME ON! This is a (thé) cobol forum. We should know our boolean logic! "Reply here or send an email" but you mean "replay and send an email".

Okay, only kidding, I'll send you a mail.
