I have a Yamaha CRW8824S CD-R/RW drive running on Win98SE operating system.
Lately, whenever I burn data to a CD, it will close the CD after burning, even though I specifically tell the software I don't want to close the CD, but keep it open for another session. The data gets recorded properly and I can read it; it's just that I can't write to the CD again, even though there should be plenty of room on it.
This started about a month ago, after I'd been using the drive successfully (keeping the disk open) for over 2 years. This happend with 2 different burning softwares - WinOnCD and Burn4Free.
Anybody have any idea on how to fix the problem?
