Hello,

I have an online site, but for development, I copied it to my local machine. I'm running IIS and he is browsing my html files perfectly well. Only if I want to browse an ASP file, I don't get it... he times out.

I tried asp's from the default website and they seem to work, so I copied everything over to the default website, but still the same problem.

Any1 familiar with this problem?

If it is timing out(90 seconds) rather than immediately giving you a page not found error, my first guess would be that you have a database or data source connection in your ASP that is not connecting. I would need more information to make a more specific guess though.

If the application is trying to access a database, check for the following:
1st: Is the connection string attempting to connect to a specific path? If so, make sure you have the file there
2nd: Is the connection a DSN connection? Make sure you create a DSN from ODBC in your Administrative tools
3rd: If you are running a database with a direct path, are you running the same release of the database(ie Access 2000 vs 2002), if not, you may need to change your driver in the connection string to match the one used for your database type if you have opened and saved the database (possibility that the database re-versioned the file)

More info would be helpful as there are other issues that could cause this.
