Hi all,

can somebody explain to me why if I go in rommon, on my Cisco3620, I cannot find tftp command.
It's impossible to wait hours using xmodem to load IOS.

All of Cisco2600 I have used in the past has tftp functions in Rommon.

Is maybe due to my System Bootstrap, Version 11.1(20)AA2 ??
There is a way to upgrade it (without having new ROM)?

Thanks in advance for your help.

you can change the speed of the aux port
when you are in rommon you can´t use tftp, only xmodem
the procedure is the folowing
Using the ROMmon confreg Utility

This procedure is valid for the Cisco 2600 and 3600.

You must reset or power cycle for new config to take effect

You can use TFTPDNLD in rommon.. It probably needs some new Bootproms if you can get those.. my 3620 has it, so does my 3640...

Give cisco a call and you can get bootproms for free (need to find the part # though)

Thanks rsmither for your guide.
Now I have to check this IOS (installed during night)
Probably tomorrow I'll check your console port configuration.
However, why you said I cannot use tftpdnld in rommon?
I've used in more than one Cisco2600.

Thanks BuckWeet, I cannot use tftpdnld in rommmon on my 3600. This is topic. Can you give me more info about bootproms, and maybe how can I indentify my own?
(if you have a little time)

Have a nice day.
