I hope I am in the right forum for this question..it is not really an issue with email just a question..I am looking in to a email filtering service company and they state that i need to change my MX RECORDS. How do you do that? Where do I go? Why couldnt I just change the pop server in my email program to mail.whatever.com or is it just not that easy. Thanks for any insight anyone can give me.

An MX record is part of the DNS system. Because you were told to do this, I assume that you have your own domain name. The MX record would need to be changed by whoever controls the DNS settings (possibly you or your ISP or web host).
