Freeservers.com was hosting my domain (a.com) and forwards all incoming mail to anything@a.com to my yahoo account. The nameservers lsited with the registrar were the freeserver name servers. all fine, except I made some changes: I changed the nameservers to point to my paid host and have my webhost add a.com to a current domain I have with them. They added a.com to my dns record on their nameservers. Noy you type a.com, you ar taken to my paid domain website. thats OK. But email is refused. So I figure if they add an MX record point back to freeservers nameservers, email would be routed to freeservers then their mail servers would route it to yahoo as before. But now I get 209.210.67.41 does not like recipient.

so it seems that the mail gets all the way back to the mail servers at freeservers, but it doesn't like it anymore. My account with freeservers still exists as of a couple hours ago.

anyone know how to do that - point web searches to one Ip and then forward email to another, seperate, hosting company? It seems to work - you get that 209.xxx IP address, which if you ping -a 209.210.67.41, says it is a freeserver mailserver. but the mail doesn't get accepted?

I am new to this and appreciat your help.

THANKS!!!!!

freeserver is not accepting mail for a.com anymore

Are you sure you still have an valid account.

When you updated your dns maybe freeservers.com detected this and now refuses a.com mail.

Freeservers.com will have to turn on mailforwarding for you.
