Have a problem where mwi's arent lighting when there are msgs in the mailboxes, when you press the msg retrieve button it states you hae no msgs, if they dial the vm hunt group they have several messages:-

They have 20 vm ports 7801 – 7820
The vm hunt group they have 7801-7815, then 7820 as a recording port. Rest are in use for rad's / recording ports.

I thought for mwi’s to work they searched from the highest valued port down until it found a free port to light the mwi.
Surely that means thought they wont have any free vm ports as there are over 650 users on the switch.

Am i correct in thinking this???

Also is there anyway to find out what / how many vm ports are in use??

You must NEVER use the first or last ports of the voicemail group for applications.

The last port is used for MWI and the first for Paging.

As you are having issues with MWI, it is probably related.
