Is there a particular reason you want to move them to MAS 1, MAS 2 is just fine - what you could do is add MAS 1 so it also can light lamps - this way the load is shared between the two servers. If you're set on moving them you can find the proceedures in "Modular Messaging S3500-Family Hardware Maintenance and Additions"
Reason being is that we have the 2 MAS servers with a DS1/QSIG connection from each to the PBX. We are having McAfee worked on by our own tech staff and we busyout one of the signaling groups so there is no disruption; However, sometimes we want the MWI services moved to the server that is active and we don't know how to do that. We'd have to open a ticket with Avaya and wait until a tech was available. I just want to know how to do it ourselves. Having them load balance would be ideal, but we don't know how to do that.
Would anyone have an idea of why and what to do with complaints that email notification of vm has stopped working for some? If we unflag and reflag the field on subscriber options it starts working again for the most part.
In 3.1 this was resolved with SP5... Not sure which version you're experiencing this on, but the fix below could solve your issue.
From Avaya:The notify me failure of this week has been temporary resolved. The Engineer has identified the problem and it has been addressed in our latest Service Pack. The MAS server reverted the list of server names in the registry to not have the callme server listed first (which also handles notify).
