I have a good understanding of how it works but just to make sure..
In the 200icp the voicemail port will send your phone a call back message when someone leaves a voicemail. Pressing the message button on the phone will either dial the voicemail hunt group or give you a visual option to respond or delete message on your display (depending on the type of phone.)
There are occasions where you will find no voicemail message in your mailbox if you access your voicemail without pressing the message button, dialing vmail hunt group for example. Yet your MWI is still flashing. This is due to a 'call me back' message from another extension that called and did not get an answer from you. Pressing the message button will call that caller. If you call back and the originating caller answers your flashing mwi will turn off.
Now I have came across times when it doesn't so I would go to the calling phone, dial FAC 2 Extension of called phone to turn off the flashing mwi.
for example in our FAC form, 'send message' is *41 + 1 to turn on, +2 to turn off, then targe extension number.
so if extension 100 calls 101 and you want to turn off the flashing light on 101, I have to go to ext 100 and dial *41 2 101 to turn it off.
My question is when I try to turn it off locally??? Pressing *412101 from 101 gives no access.
