I have a new 8400 CM 5.1 that is dcs'ed back to an G3siV8 with an isdn point to point. the audix is on the G3 side with lan intergration. I can not get the mwi lights to go on or off on te 8400. in the old switch there were no comm link or processor links. dcs is up and working, calls cover to vmail and they get the right mailbox but no lights. i did a trace on the trunk and it showed no attept to light the light. i also monitors the audix and the analog ports did not even attempt to light the light. so i am assuming that the lan intergration is used to light the lights but the old switch had no clan in it and the lights worked on it. any ideas

yes, you need to do some reading on DCS networking. You will also have to setup those subscribes on a "different switch" (like switch 2), then you setup a DCS signalling channel to transport the information over the PRI's D channel.. thats it in a nutshell, there are a lot more details, start reading the AVAYA DCS/Qsig networking books.

I figured it out. Since i had the old switch still handy i verified all of the signal group and comm proc channels were right. i then decided to disable the comm proc link at the main site and then re enable it and it started to work again.
