The MWI lamp on IP and analog phones is not working on an SX200 ICP. When you call an IP or analog extension, you're able to leave a voice message. I log into form 50 and can see that the mailboxes have new messages. So I know that VM/PBX and the PMS are communicating with each other.

Actually, maybe it did not work before...checking my tenanting

Confirmed the following options in COS for IP, Guest Room and Vmail are enabled:
Option 232 - Message Wtg Setup - Lamp
Option 259 - Message Sending

Confirmed the following options in System Options are enabled
Message Waiting & Message Register Clear Print
Property Management System

There's not much that can cause this to fail on an ICP with IP phones

Feature Access Code?

Mailbox type - Extension for Admin, Guest for Guest

Extension field matches extension of phone

What happens if you set a Message from the console?

When sending a message (*411 extension#) from the console, the MWI lamp on that phone flashes.

All mailbox types are correct.
Yes, the extension field matches the extension of the phone.

My voice mail hunt group type was set to RING. I changed it to STN/SET. MWI lamps are now working!

Thanks for your feedback kwbMitel.

Although using the console to set the Message by dialing the feature code works, that is not what I meant

You might need to enable COS option 321 (320?) in the COS of the Console for Transparent Multi-Console Operation

Then from the console you can use the Funtion Keys / Att Funtion / Stations / Enter Station / Message Option

Having the COS option enabled allows you to control the Message Lamp On/Off regardless of what device sets it.

That is good to know, kwbMitel. I will make those changes to my system for future troubleshooting.

Thanks!
