I'm having issues w/ the message waiting light on an extension at a customer's office. It has the MWI light lit constantly. It had a voicemail box, but was not a a member of the voicemail coverage group, so I added it to the coverage group, re-initalized the voicemail password, left it a message, deleted the message, deleted the voicemail box, and removed it from the coverage group. Still no luck. Any suggestions?

Check to see if that extension was ever an overflow from a group.

Did you try going to the set, then press MENU->MSGS->DELETE MSG. See if that clears the MWI. This usually works on all MLX sets.

It doesn't appear to be overflow from any group, it's not the general mailbox owner of any auto-attendant, and it's a 4406, not an MLX series. I'm not sure what else to try, short of rebooting the unit.

switch the phone with a 4412 and go Menu - Menu-Msgs just like you would on an MLX, that is 99% of the time the problem that someone played around with the phone and posted a message to the phone (from another extension) and to delete it you need a 4412 or 4424 set.
