MWI button is calling other users?

I am having an issue with a 5330 phone that is connected to a 3300 mxe runnin 8.0 ur4 with embedded vm. I have a user that is complaining that when they press thier flashing MWI, it is calling another user in the office.

This person is an assistant/secretary. they have multicall buttons of thier boss on thier phone so they can answer thier boss's calls. The MWI is calling this person when it is pressed. Any idea how this is happening. The (executive)user does not have any callback or send message buttons on thier phone.

The user that is being called set the message waiting on the other. Usually the message would be cancelled by the call being answered.

I suggest you remove the Send Message option from all users to prevent this possivility.

If the MWI is not cancelling, Enable Message Inquiry and press the envelope key while the handset is in the cradle, read the message and choose the option to erase.
