Hi all,

I have a problem with a PC not connecting using MUVPN.

There is no problem with the ISP or WGX file as another machine on the same home LAN works fine.

In the log you can see it sending the IKE request but then there is no reply.

Also I have noticed there is no SafeNet Virtual Adapter in Network Connections.

I have tried manually removing and reinstalling the software with no success.

The machine uses McAfee, I have disabled this but again no difference.

Any ideas?

Thanks.

Gavin.

Is it an Ibm pc? (known fault)

is your ISP AOL? (known fault)

I had a similar issue with Norton AV. No idea why, but just disabling it did not help. I ended up finding a post on the Norton site the essentially upgraded me to NAV 2008 and after this it started to work. I have no experience with McAfee, but you might want to do a careful search of their support site for "VPN" and see if you uncover anything.

There is a known issue that prevents VA from getting installed. There is a post on Wathguard site that points to the Safenet site about this. Unfortunately, I don't remember details. If you use Watchguard's lame search engine for "Virtual Adapter does not install" you can probably find it.
