Hi,

Is it possible to have a mutlicall appearance of a non-prime dn on an IP dect? Like you would have on a normal IP phone when you want more than one to ring simultaniously.

I again remember reading a post that it is possible but this was a while ago. I am not able to test this as I am merely trying to find out for someone else

I can't see why not. I would turn on ringing line select in the COS and reduce the hold recall timer.

thanks

Any key appearance, whether prime or non-prime or multi-line or single line instrument can be "multicall" - you can even make an ONS instrument "multicall" as long as you have at least one other place to park the 2nd line appearance.

Someone please feel free to correct me here, as unique as the IP DECT handset is, I still see no reason this same logic would not apply. Any DN can be programmed as multicall so long as you have at least one other key appearance (prime or non-prime) of the number (which need not be on the same instrument).

The issue, as with any multicall appearance is its "hold" behavior and how to retrieve a call from hold, i.e., hard hold on the instrument's internal hold bridge (if so equipped) vs soft hold in system software. Just IMO, Call Park might be a better method.

mitelinmyblood,

thanks for the post, maybe I didn't put it clear enough but I want to know if it's possible to program a multicall on an IP dect phone. seeing that it doesn't have any "buttons" to use...

E,

PS: I am aware of the fact that you can program any type of dn as a multicall

hello

are you talking about the open phone 26/27 dect if so

the only way i could get it to work well was to use suite services

MitelPassion:

This does work. I have just installed 15 Openphone 27s and they all have multicalls assigned which ring and when put on hold they also recall back ok.i did set the cos as above though.

Hope this helps
