Hi can anyone suggest a mute option for a 7911??
Following a rollout, I have a user thats takes part in a conference call each week. He tries to use the hold button but ends up broadcasting the MOH.
The only option I can see is to remove the MOH for that user.
Or get him a 7941!

Can the User use the 1/2 duplex speakerphone?? It is monitor only.

Yes on the 7911 the monitor button works fine
Sorry about the delay - the alerts to replies doesn't seems to be working.

Since it is Monitor only, can he use it instead of Hold to cut off his input?? I guess I'm not clear on the problem. You can probably put him in a Device Pool with no MOH or with a MOH file of silence.

I wouldn't put him in his own Device Pool, but rather set him up his own Common Profile.

Hold prevents both parties from hearing anything from each other by playing music or recorded silence.
A mute button lets the user mute their speech whilst being able to still hear the other party.
I think that I am maybe looking for a configurable softkey or something.

so the conference you participate in doesnt have a feature code you call dial to mute yourself.

our meeting place for example you can dial *6 and mute yourself @ the conference bridge level not at the device level. make sense?
