Two recruiters are recruiting me because I have 3+ years of HP-UX System Admin experience. I am more of a Windows guru and have my MCSE, but I certainly would like the benefits of a Unix "only" job (I'd get a 20% pay increase). I must take a unix profiency test of some kind because the companies want to see test scores.
Should I worry about this test? What kinds of things are considered general or normal knowledge for a Mid-level or intermediate Unix administrator?
I am good at what I do, but sometimes I come on to these forums and see the questions some are asking and realize I may be a little behind the game in Unix to be playing with the big boys.
