Anyone know of a program that I could use to take a MP3 and cut the song in half or less? I've tried to put a stop action in the middle on the song but it still plays. Any suggestions?

Did you insert a normal stop action on the timeline?
Do you see a lock symbol in your sound key frame?
If not, you know what's it going to cost you, do get the solution!

No, what????? You know that you can't do that. Trade info for stars. There should be a no tradeing law in this fourm.... LOL... I've got the music to stop but it still loads the whole thing. 3mb. I just need the first .25 That's why I need a way to cut it outside flash... If you help me out with this I'll think about a star. Hey I've got an idea.... Why not 1/2 a star? LOL melocco

I'm too old to care (or listen!) about mp3s! I thrive on stars!
Try this:

I know you're lazy... But use this converter to convert your mp3 (don't you have a wave version of it?) to a wav, end then use the Windows sound recorder to chop it up!

Hey... Maybe you can even get the recorder to chop up stars!

DARN....Old... That one file in mp3 is only 3mb In wav it's 45mb. I'm going to have to compress it with something. I don't think anyone is going to wait for 45 megs or 15 megs to download. It doesn't convert them back to mp3 does it? And buy the way.... You got the darn star... Melocco

Don't you need but 25 secs of it?

I found some software on Edonkey2000. A guy there gave me the full version of "Sound forge XP 4.5" It lets me cut the song in the mp3 format, wav, convert wav to mp3, and mp3 to wav, & about six other formats. And also lets me mix all the songs togeather anyway I like, and have it on a mp3 format. all he asked for was a movie (Bedazzled). He just uploaded it from me in a ftp program that I run. How about the other probs.? any suggestions? Is it worth another star for the elderly? LOL Melocco
