Music will work on sets but not on Hold. Conference is distorted.

Hello,

I have a used 8X24DS system I recently installed in my home. I have a button programed on my M7310 phones for music OFF/ON. The music sounds fine coming out the phones but on the holding line you can bearly hear it. You have to listen really good to hear it. I do have on hold set to Music in the config. Also when I conference two lines the callers can hear each other I guess as good as they are suppose to with conference with an older system but I hear them disorted. The modulation is good but just disorted. I thank you for any help or advice you can give me on what I can do to correct this problem.

Turn the volume of music down on the set then go turn the radio up about half volume then listen to the on hold volume and see if that is better.
As for the conference I would suggest moving both lines to line 5 and 6 incase the line ports are defective or try conf with a different phone, handsfree does not work well with conf also btw in case you are doing that. ~Will Nortel soon be NoTel??~

Make sure you ajust the radio volume to the volume you get when you are on hold.

The "on-hold" volume can't be adjusted in the KSU. The only volume you can ajust is on the sets, set-dependant and won't modify the on-hold volume...
