Is is possible to force a caller in an inbound trunk to hear music instead of ringing. I know that strictly this is for an on hold or transfer situation.

In a nutshell, the call comes in over an ISDN 30 to a NameTag hunt group, which is re-routed always to a ring group. Can I get the music to play here.

After the timers expire it is sent to a menu node mailbox and the options are then sent to more ring groups. While waiting for a pickup here can I have music instead of ringing. I've enable in the Trunk COS Music on hold on transfer.

I think you'll need to switch to an ACD group or an MCD hunt group for that.

Stupid question but I've never heard of a MCD hunt group? Do you mean a huntgroup on a MCD system. If so this 3300 is running the latest build of MCD

Sorry. Using terms from my old 2k days.
An MCD group is just a hunt group that has RADS.

Can somebody point out the difference between a nametag HG and a HG again?

In my experience a NameTag HuntGroup displays the name of the group on the set. If you have a NT HuntGroup in the middle of your call flow you can overide the display with this.
